Contains colour illustrated frontispiece, with black and white photographic plates and some diagrams throughout. 3 plates are detached but present. Pages are lightly tanned and moderately foxed, but text remains clear. Plates are bright. Firm binding aside from plates. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Boards have light shelf-wear, with minor corner bumping and minimal scuffing to edges. Mild crushing to spine ends. Visible bleach spotting overall. Gilt remains bright. Light rubbing and scuffing overall.
