Light bumps and some rubs, shelf wear to upper & lower edges and to head and tail of spine. Spine repaired, hinges cracked but still complete. GOOD* Jacket condition: No dust jacket (maybe as issued). ND* Contents condition: PRIVATE COPY NOT EX-LIBRARY. Coloured end papers (cream). All edges, bright gilt. Inscription and dated (1848) dedication to ffep. Clean, crisp, tight and bright with only minor reading wear, no marks to text, slight marks to end-papers & prelims, otherwise no visible faults. VG+.* Illustrations: A single tissue-guarded b/w portrait plate by S. Davenport, to frontis and an etching showing the saviour with a subscript "No Man Cometh unto the father but through me."* Pages: 304 pp. text. xiv pp., index & blank pages at rear.* Description: The full title is:- "A Practical View of the Prevailing Religious System of Professed Christians in the higher and middle classes in the Country, contrasted with real Christianity."
