A small folded broadside color woodblock printed, 20 x 28 cm., very good,with three genuine Japanese postal stamps tipped in, lacks 1, else very clean, solid & obscure original item with original Japanese stamps. This shows 8 Japanese shows women in Kimono the steps in a fan dance six women dancing, another plays the flute, the last plays a Shamisen, with a large sprig of Japanese cherry blossoms. . The central text reads "THE PRICE OF JAPAN," under which is a tea plant, "The attached are genuine Japanese postage stamps, which we send to remind you of the 'Pride of Japan' tea, the purest & best tea in the market. We can recommend it to our customers as a tea which has never been equaled. For Sale By William Lampert, Sacramento, Cal." [California] * This charming advert for Mr. Lamper's tea is wonderfully done, and superbly illustrated. The Japanese stamps say in English: "Imperial Japanese Post, Japanese Empire," each different.
