The recording company, Verve, a division of PoilyGram, issued a series of 60 compact discs to honor their Jazz musicians. each in the series was numbered and had uniform formats. The first in 1993 was devoted to Louis Armstrong, and the last in 1996 was a sampler (a few more were added in later years).
This collection was built by an enthusiast and includes the albums for Cannonball Adderley, Chet Baker, Bill Evans, Stan Getz, Astrud Gilberto, Lionel Hampton, Johnny Hodges, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Herbie Mann, Wes Montgomery, Oscar Peterson, Jimmy smith, Toots Tielmans, Cal Tjader, Dinah Washington, and Ben Webster. The numbers of the albums are: 5, 8, 9, 13, 14, 16, 19, 26, 29, 31, 32, 35, 39, 43, 56, and 59.
16 compact discs, all in fine condition with their original booklets and liner notes.
