He was an English professor at Amherst College from 1903 to 1909, followed by Columbia University from 1909 to 1937, and was the first president of the Juilliard School of Music. Bestseller in the United States of America in 1926. In the original quarter cloth binding with patterned boards. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities and minor bumping. Original unclipped dust wrapper also very smart with light chipping predominantly to the head of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Very Good
