First Edition. 12mo (20.5cm.); recent brown cloth, gilt-lettered spine, new endpapers; iv,[5]-290pp. Ex-American Antiquarian Society with their discreet pressure stamp to title page, additional contemporary ownership signature, else a Very Good, uncut copy in a sturdy and serviceable new binding. The author's treatise on proscription following the revocation of his right to preach by the North Association of Litchfield County following his involvement in various financial ventures, though Parker notes that his salary "would not be adequate to the support of my family, and would by no means render a comfortable subsistence" (p. 7).
