SIGNED by the author on ffep verso in black ink and inscribed to English writer and Bloomsbury group member Julia Strachey (1901-1979). This book was acquired from the library of her ex-husband, the English Establishment artist Sir Lawrence Gowing (1918-1991). VG copy, binding square and tight, cloth covers clean, spine titles a little dulled, internally excellent, no dust jacket but for some remnants laid in . Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 1947.
