About This Item
Universal City: Universal City Studios, 1985. Second Draft script for the 1986 film, belonging to uncredited crew member "K Harmen," with a manuscript annotation of their name in manuscript ink at the top of front wrapper and annotations in red manuscript pencil on several pages.
An often maligned, yet ambitious and impressive directorial debut from Anthony Perkins, heavily inspired by the Coen Brothers' 1984 film "Blood Simple," and incorporating just enough of a 1980s "Slasher" influence to maintain a place in this lively franchise. The third sequel to Alfred Hitchcock's 1962 masterpiece "Psycho," preceded by the 1983 film "Psycho II," directed by Richard Franklin and starring Anthony Perkins, Vera Miles, and Meg Tilly.
A reformed Norman Bates returns to his iconic motel, lodging a beautiful ex-nun, when a nosy reporter starts snooping around and a series of murders commences-yet again.
Gray titled wrappers, noted as SECOND DRAFT on the front wrapper, dated April 25, 1985. Title page present, dated April 25, 1985, noted as Second Draft, with credits for screenwriter Charles Edward Pogue. 150 leaves, with last page of text numbered 149. Mimeograph duplication, rectos only. Pages Near Fine, wrapper Very Good plus, bound with three gold brads.
