Book Condition: Good; index writing on spine; bumped head and tail; slight shelfwear; small paint splash on front board. No DJ. Green cloth boards and spine with gilt lettering and bands on the spine and blindstamped borders on front board. Frontispiece photo of Lane. Foldout map of Lane Trail present. 196 pp 8vo. General Lane was the outstanding figure in Kansas in the struggle to withstand slavery and found a free state. A clean very presentable copy.
