There is an inked gift inscription on the front free endpaper, but no other internal markings. There is some slight wear to the dustjacket from handling. But the binding is tight and solid, with sharp edges and corners on the boards. Bound in cloth covered boards and wrapped in an illustrated paper dustjacket. Beautifully illustrated with hundreds of color images. Revised hardcover edition of a volume initially published in 1994 on the occasion of the exhibition held at the Royal Academy..
