London: John Murray, 1858. Full Leather. Fair. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. Two volumes, smooth dark-green leather, slightly smaller book, bright gilt ornate border to front and back edges, ornate embossed and raised gilt design very bright on fronts, raised spines, ornate design, beautifully red and blue marbleing inside covers and adjacent end papers as well as exterior page edges. Volume I: Front cover detached but in place, badly worn inside covers and adjacent end papers as well as exterior page edges, slight tear to spine left middle edge, 416 lightly browned pages. Volume II: Front cover detached but in place. Two small light surface wear spot at front top and bottom, badly worn at tips, badly chipped at spine top, 1/4" tear at spine middle left and right edge, reglued, 434 lightly browned pages. Fair--reading copy.
