Geneve, Geneva, 1774. Tree Calf. Good. Printed in Geneva in 1774. Volume 23 of the complete works of Voltaire, Volume 3 of the Encyclopaedia. Size quarto, 534 pages including index. Full tree calf binding with gilt borders to covers, five raised bands to the spine with titles and volume numbers on leather labels in second and third compartments and elaborate gilt work in remaining compartments, page edges waxed red, marbled paste-downs and end-papers. Condition good, bindings rubbed a little at corners and edges, calf chipped at head and tail of spine, contents are very clean throughout. Covers from "Eloquence" to "Intolerance" Size: 4to - over 9" - 12" tall
