The second novel by the prolific author of THE CENTAUR and the first novel in the RABBIT series -- the story of Harry Angstrom, a one-time high school basketball star who, on an impulse, deserts his wife. The RABBIT books taken together chronicle the major events occurring during the second half of the twentieth century -- the last two novels in the series each separately won the Pulitzer Prize. Very Good/Very Good -- a small water stain at the top of the pages and a neat one-word previous owner's name to the front free end paper. The dust jacket has folds and a couple of small chips.
