xiii+306 pages. Octavo (8 1/4" x 5 1/2") bound in original publisher's green cloth with silver lettering to spine in original pictorial jacket. Third printing. And the Rain My Drink is a 1956 novel by Chinese-Flemish writer Han Suyin. Set against a backdrop of the Malayan Emergency of the late 1940s and 1950s, it describes the methods used by the British colonial authorities and by the left-wing rebels, and how individual lives were affected. Condition: Spine head frayed. Jacket corners and spin ends chipped with 1" x 2" loss to back head hinge, back edges chipped with tears else good to very good in like jacket.
