Book is tight, square, and unmarked. 155 pages plus appendix and index. This book is a result of the study of the development of language in the child during which it had become clear that a study of linguistic development was inextricably linked with the development of the perceptual powers. The author finds the Gestalt Theory of the 1930s still holds influence but should be abandoned in favor of more modern educational theories on how children learn to recognize words and begin reading. A good reading/research copy.
