Samuel Rogers was an English poet who was celebrated and popular in his lifetime. He is best remembered now for his anecdotes of the figures of the time, including his famous friends Wordsworth, Colerigdge and Byron, and his works provide valuable insight into the literary lifestyle of his age. With the bookplate of William E Stuart to the front pastedown. In a half calf binding with marbled boards. Externally, smart with slight rubbing to spine and extremities.
