About This Item
New York, NY, U.S.A.: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1981. First Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. This is a hard-to-find 1981 Putnam FIRST edition of Harris's thriller. Only his second novel following "Black Sunday." Introduces the unforgettable Dr. Hannibal Lechter! The book is in VG/VG condition. The HB is very clean and unmarked with only one flaw: there are two small corresponding upper right rectangle pieces removed (on ffep and 1st title pages)--Why? Who knows? Besides a small red remainder mark this text and spine are clean and tight. The DJ is not price clipped, showing virtually no wear but for some yellowing of the back cover, but Harris's picture is bright. The spine has a very slight lean.
Synopsis
A second family has been massacred by the terrifying serial killer the press has christened “The Tooth Fairy.” Special Agent Jack Crawford turns to the one man who can help restart a failed investigation—Will Graham. Graham is the greatest profiler the FBI ever had, but the physical and mental scars of capturing Hannibal Lecter have caused Graham to go into early retirement. Now, Graham must turn to Lecter for help.
