Garden City: Doubleday, Page & Company, 1912. An historical novel set in the time of the Black Death, with some supernatural elements. This is a Very Good copy of the First American Edition.. Red cloth binding, stamped on the front cover with a stylized swan. Titling in gilt on the spine and front cover. Clean text; 351 pages. Colour friontis illustartion (which reproduces that on the front cover of the English edition) and three others in black and white within. Lightly rubbed at the margins, with the "R" on the spine scraped a bit. Hinges are cracked but holding. Still, a solid and clean copy. In an archival plastic protector.. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Arthur C. Michael. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
