New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1917. 52 pp, 7 3/8" H, gray boards with dark blue cloth spine, blue lettering/border and red flower device on front board. A collection of poems about the First World War. There is an Xmas message dated 1917 on the front free endpaper and a contemporary Xmas sticker (bluebird with wreath) on the bottom right hand corner of the front cover. An early owner has glued related poems by Rupert Brooke, Rudyard Kipling, Richard Le Gallienne, Lauchlan MacLean Watt and others clipped from newspapers (browned) on the bottom of page 52 and on the following blank pages. Pages lightly browned - mainly preliminaries, browning to edges of text block, moderate edge wear, rubbing and some areas of discoloration on front board, very small corner bumps. . Reprint. Hard Cover. Good reading copy only./No Jacket.
