In order to reconstruct the events described in 'Red October', Professor Daniels has employed collections of documents in Paris and Leningrad, and he has explored and charted the important sites of the Revolution.
His retelling of the events of October 1917 are as dramatic as they are decisive. His narrative provides surprising and controversial new (then 1968) insights into a period crucial to the development of the 20thC world.
