Athens - Leiden: Academy of Athens, 1984. Series: CORPUS PHILOSOPHORUM MEDII AEVI - Philosophi Byzantini, No. 1. Clothbound, 24 cm, LXXX+204 pp.; net weight 680 gr. ISBN: 960-7099-29-X.

Critical edition with an introduction on Nicholas' life and works by A.D. Angelou. The crucial Greek passages are grouped together in the appendix at the end of the introduction. The latter arrangement would help the reader to assess the popularity of Nicholas' works enjoyed among subsequent generations. Chapter three deals with the interrelation of the extant manuscripts to the "Anaptyxis".

Browing, H. Hunger, C.A. Trypanis, G. Verbeke, D. Zakythenos). Director of the series is Linos Benakis.
