Inscribed to Frank and Edna Bradlow (the Africana specialists and collectors): "Author's Presentation Copy / For Frank and Edna Bradlow, - two good friends who went with me to Cato Street - David Johnson, 1974". Included are: a letter suggesting that one of the Cato Street conspirators, Williamson, arrived in the Cape in 1820 under another name; rough notes by Bradlow; Bradlow's copy of a review submitted for this book; the published review; a photocopied article about the book. A decent copy. The dustjacket is neat, fresh, smart. The boards are healthy and sound. The contents are pleasing. The early pages do have some general evidence of ownership.
