About This Item
The book pictured is the copy being sold. The shocking absence of the binding boards may give the buyer opportunities that a buyer of this book with the original binding would not have. The book itself is in very good condition; the text is tight, gold gilt edges on the top, side, and bottom glitter. There is damage to the front flyleaf, but by the half-title page that fraying damage ends and is minor. There is light tanning of the paper at the edges. All the engraving have intact onion skin protection.Given the absence of any binding, this copy may be have more value by extracting its 36 engraving and the other prints. I hope that someone might be willing to rebind this book; giving you the opportunity to blend your style preference and the original 19th ornate style. This of course is a beautifully printed book, 257 pages.
