Photograph of author to the rear book panel. Creasing to the book corners and there is a large triangular crease to the lower right hand corner of the front panel reading creases to the back strip with rubbing of the book edges and panels. A previous owner has made various locations in a black coloured marker to the front panel and "dates read" to the top edge of the rear panel. Browning to the text block edges and pages. Previous owner has placed some notes to the top edge of the verso of the front panel. Number 48 of the J. E. McDonnell series of pulp Naval War fiction. Captain Bentley adventure. Second Edition.
