First Abridged Edition containing the "Economical and Scenographical Reports" of the First Edition published a year earlier. 252 pp. Original brown stamped cloth. No folding maps, 43 woodcuts, 11 very attractive lithographic plates showing impressive scenes in Vermont. Chipping along edges of spine and at corners, inscription in ink on front free endpaper by a previous owner, previous owner's name in ink on title page, faint dampstains on the plates but not the pages that do not mar the attractiveness of the plates, Good. . Good. Hardcover. 1862.
