Very slight wear to edges of boards. Dust jacket has a thin reddish dampstain along a portion of the top-edge of the rear panel; very faint spotting to top half of front panel; not price clipped. DJ in clear archival sleeve. ix, 81, [2] pages. 8.2 x 5.5 inches. Collection of more than sixty poems by William Stafford (1914-1993), United States Poet Laureate 1970-1971 and the Poet Laureate of Oregon 1975-1990. Inscribed ''For Gwyneth / - William Stafford / Dec, '85''. Gwyneth and Brian Booth were notable supporters of Oregon literature. Brian helped found the Northwest Review, founded the Oregon Institute of Literary Arts ( later Literary Arts, Inc.), and established the Oregon Book Awards and Oregon Literary Fellowships. Together, and individually, they played leading roles in the cultural and civic life of the state.
