May? no, June 2, 1929", with a drawing of a road sign around the limitation, numbering this copy "Thorough fare. By. Order". One of 112 signed copies on hand-made paper, of which 12 out of series unnumbered copies not for sale. Kenneth Rae was a partner of the publisher Cobden-Sanderson. Tall octavo. Publisher's out of series brown buckram, titles in gilt to spine, untrimmed. Title printed in red and black. A touch rubbed, the binding otherwise sharp, internally crisp; a fine copy.
