Description

NY: Duell, Sloan and Pearce; (1951). First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. First edition ("I" on copyright page), very good with no dust jacket. Blue cloth with yellow lettering on the spine. Cloth is a little worn; spine is slightly sunned. Very faint offset of tape at top and bottom of front endpaper. Rear endpaper has a lower corner crease and a closed tear (a little over 1") at the top. No names or other marking in the book, although a few interior pages may be slightly stained. The basis for the 1956 Raoul Walsh film of the same name starring Jane Russell as the title character and Richard Egan.
