Jonathan Cape, 1934. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1934. First Edition. 414 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Ex-Library copy, with expected inserts and inscriptions. Deckled text block edges. Contains black and white illustrated plates. Pages are lightly tanned with mild foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Moderate cracking to gutters with exposed netting. Binding is slightly loose. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout, with a few small nicks and rub marks along text block edge. Minor dog-eared corners. Plates are moderately tanned and heavily foxed. Boards have heavy shelf-wear with notable bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Heavy tanning to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends. Book has a prominent forward lean. Tippex inscription and tape marks across spine. Shadowing to front board from label.
