Brilliant study of the life and work of the German-born American painter of figure subjects, often of an erotic or enigmatic character. Linder (1901-78) appeared in the second row on The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover. Signed by Lindner on the half-title. Oblong quarto. Original red cloth binding, with gilt stamping. Tiny spot to the bottom edge; otherwise fine in a clean and bright dust jacket. Signed by Artist.
