Originally written between 1926 and 1934 while the Grand Duchess was resident in Rome, the manuscripts were made available by Nancy Leeds Wynkoop and H. S. H. Prince David Chavchavadze, two of the Grand Duchess' grandchildren. Twelve page section of black and white photographs at the back along with 74 other pages of black and white photographs within the text with almost all photographs being full page. Genealogical chart on page (4) and a 4 page index at the back. Previous owner's name and date on the front free end paper, otherwise clean with a sound binding and showing no wear of any note. The clipped dust jacket has a whisper of shelf wear to the tips of the spine. .
