A collection of nine short stories, including ‘Stage to Lordsburg’ which was the basis of the John Ford classic film ‘Stagecoach’ starring John Wayne and Claire Trevor. The front panel of the dust jacket is a terrific color painting of a handsome Western sheriff reluctantly handing over his guns to another man.
