Front and rear covers show normal wear but are only hanging from text due to the cover spine being entirely missing. Covers have now attached to text due to recent owner repairing with wide clear tape. Both front and rear endpapers have a nice detailed illustration showing Roy trying t lasso a steer at a rodeo. Colors are pale green and shades of brown. Inked birthday inscripted dated 1956 on plain frontispiece page. Actual text is still nicely together and is clean except for the normal browning which is somewhat darker than usual due to the cheap paper that was used by the printer. Most Whitman books have the same problem. There are 2 bookworm holes at the lower section of some rear pages. Bookworm only made about a half inch hole in length. Photo available upon request.
