New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1910. First American Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo (379 pages, 10 illustrations, index). An impressive career Rupert (1619-1689) fought very capably for Charles I during the English Civil War, and again for Charles II as an admiral in the Anglo-Dutch Wars. A very good copy, corners a bit frayed, spine head slightly nicked, small stain on spine, gilt slightly rubbed, front hinge split, issued without dust jacket.
