Philadelphia: Royal Electrotype Company, 1929. First Edition. Small 4to. 53 pp. Frontispiece. black & white photo-illustrated plates depicting printing techniques. Business card for Royal Electrotype Co. employee (salesman?) laid in. Striking gilt, green brown & orange decorative wrappers in near fine condition (with minor wear to sine ends; minor foxing to endpapers). A scarce title; no copies currently on the market and only two copies located in online institutions. A demonstration/instruction manual for printers, large and small. The instructor is Robert F. Salade, well-known writer on techincal subjects pertaining to the graphic arts industry. Photographs were taken to illustrate the proper way to use the various tools and, finally, directions given to the printer, pointing out, in clear, concise way, how valuable production hours may be saved by the simple, corrective measures. - Introduction.
