About This Item
Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1964. First Edition . Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. Near fine in a near fine dust jacket. Owner's signature on front endpaper, a couple of small spots of soiling on the foredge of the page block. The jacket has minor edgewear and a swmall stain near the top of the front gutter; $4.95 price is present on front flap. Laid in is a typed letter from the author on her letterhead with a matching envelope. The letter is dated March 24, 1964, and addressed to the owner whose signature is on the front endpaper of the book, who reviewed this title for a newspaper. The letter discusses the writing of Run Me a River and goes on to talk about her next project, The G.I. Journal of Sgt. Giles. The letter is a warm thank you to a reviewer who had obviously written good reviews in the past. The letter is signed "Janice H. Giles" at the bottom of the page. A nice association to go with this scarce book.
