First line

When we first discovered RVing, we couldn't believe how perfectly the experience fit our lifestyle, how comfortable and convenient it is, and how liberating it makes travel.

About the author

Harry Basch and the late Shirley Slater, a renowned husband-and-wife travel writing team, have been published internationally over the past 20 years. Former stage, film, and television actors, they wrote their syndicated column "Cruise Views" for the Los Angeles Times for more than 15 years and produced six annual editions of the North American Ski Guide For Prodigy Computer Services. They also wrote two editions of Frommer's Exploring America by RV; a monthly newsletter, Shirley and Harry's RV Adventures; and four books on worldwide cruising. Shirley died in August 2002 following a brief illness.
