Hillacre, Riverside, CT, 1913. 8vo (9 3/4" x 6 1/2"), dark brown paper boards, recently renewed matching spine. [7] pp., photogravure frontis.

First edition of Reed's first book. One of 500 copies printed. Inscribed on the flyleaf: "To darling Alice with the profoundest respect of the unworthy Author John Reed Jan. 12, 1916."





CONDITION: Very good, old pencil inscription on terminal endpaper.
