About This Item
Albuquerque, New Mexico: University of New Mexico Press, 2001. First Edition . Hardcover. Fine/Fine. The volume itself has cream colored covers with blue lettering and an emblem on the spine. Dust jacket is protected in an archival quality cover. Clean, fresh, tight and bright. 272 pages. The book is a deft synthesis of the history of the city's development since 1880. It traces the interaction and changes in Hispano-Anglo relationships over the past century and the consequences of two cultures jostling each other. The volume is first and foremost an urban history that presents the city as a microcosm of a pluralistic society. A very nice copy of a well-researched work.
