The book is about the Santa Fe Trail, including Indian trade, the trail, buffalo, lessons, the way West, and more.Good+ condition. Book has been thoroughly cleaned, but there were stains on the cover that did not come off. Inside there are a few pages in both the front and back with tiny purple/brown spots. Green cover with black and faded gold gilt image and lettering. No odd smells. Beautiful, colorful end papers. Text is clean and binding is tight. Black & brown illustrations throughout the book. 181 pages.

Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing, mild to end-papers and text-block edges. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Cloth dust marked. Text-block top edge has mild damp spots. Moderate tanning to spine. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean.

Previous owner's colorful nameplate pasted to the inside front flysheet and written on the title page in hand writing. Pages of this book are slightly browning due to age but bright, clean and crisp. Binding is good, slightly loose at the covers, but still intact. Cover has a slight amount of aging to the spine, rubbing to the edges and minor bumping to the tips of the boards. Overall, this book is in Fine condition.
