Crisp, clean pages except for a small scratch affecting the right edges of the first 50 leaves; no owners' marks; the full cloth cover shows only a line of fading and wear at the spine heel. The dust jacket has a closed surface tear at the left front, chipping and small laminate peels around top and bottom edges, a small tear at the spine heel, and some toning starting across the rear, otherwise sound, now protected in a clear sleeve.
