About the author

Dr. Martin Shaw is a mythologist, author and storyteller. He is director of the Westcountry School of Myth in the United Kingdom, and has designed and led both the Oral Tradition and Mythic Life courses at Stanford University. A fellow at Schumacher College, he was visiting lecturer on the Strategic Leadership program and Desmond Tutu African Leadership program at Templeton College, Oxford. He is the author of "Branch from the Lightning Tree" and "Snowy Tower." He lives in Devonshire, UK.
David Abram is a cultural ecologist, philosopher, and spiritual teacher whose work has had a deepening influence on the environmental movement in North America and abroad. He is the author of the acclaimed works "The Spell of the Sensuous" and "Becoming Animal." He lives in Taos, NM.
