No owner inscrptn and no price-clip (£17.99) to dw/dj.Bright,crisp,clean,glossy laminated,colour pictorial artwork by Paul Kidby,illustrated dw/dj with gilt,brown+black lettering to front; with negligible shelf-wear or creasing to edges and corners - one tiny snick and rubbing to top,front corner of dw/dj - no other nicks or tears present.Some inevitable but minor,negligible and superficial scoring/indents to front panel of dw/dj - without effect to bd beneath,similar scoring/indents to rear dw/dj's rear panel - only affecting the bd beneath in a single concomitant spot.Top+fore- edges though lightly toned,generally bright and clean; contents bright,tight,clean,solid and sound - near pristine apart from a production fault (?) of multiple (4) diagonal creases to top corner of penultimate page [pp341/2] - no other intentional dog-ear reading creases to any pages' corners,else appears unread - apart from my own collation.Bright,crisp,clean,sharp-cornered, publisher's original plain black cloth bds with bright,crisp,stamped gilt letters to spine/backstrip,and immaculate plain white eps.UK, 8vo HB+dw/dj,1st edn,1-344pp [paginated] includes a preamble,25 chapters - each with a b/w line illumination illustration by Paul+ Sandra Kidby,an Afterthought,an index,plus [unpaginated] half- title+title pages,epigrams/fictional quotes,and a contents list/table.Described hard but fairly and honestly - it's only the few identified detractions that prevent it's listing as FINE/FINE. In 'Darwin's Watch.',Terry Pratchett,Ian Stewart and Jack Cohen weave together a brand new fast-paced Discworld novelette with cutting-edge scientific commentary. The result is fascinating and highly entertaining.And tells the story of the evolution of evolution as it has never been told before. . .
