About the author

Captain Paul Watson grew up on Canada's east coast and became aware of the seal hunt at a very early age. He was a founding member of the Greenpeace Foundation and the Founder of Friends of the Wolf. In 1977 he founded the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, and he continues to be its president. The author of Ocean Warrior, Watson has been the captain of a succession of ships dedicated to the protection of the world's oceans, most recently the R/V Farley Mowat and the R/V Sirenian.
