About This Item
New York: Appleton-Century Cp, 1934. First Edition. First printing. Octavo; red cloth hardcover in dustjacket; 401pp. Faint wear and soil, with some bruises to board edges, still Very Good in the attractive and uncommon pictorial dustwrapper, unclipped (priced $2.50 at base of front flap), but with old kraft-paper reinforcements to verso, thus just Good, though the book presents well. A novel of espionage set in the American Civil War.
