About the author

Arthur Green is Philip W. Lown Professor of Jewish Thought at Brandeis University and dean of the Rabbinical School at Boston s Hebrew College. He is former president of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College. He is a rabbi, a historian of Jewish mysticism, and a theologian. His works include Tormented Master: The Life and Spiritual Quest of Rabbi Nahman of Bratslav; Keter: The Crown of God in Early Jewish Mysticism; The Language of Truth: Teachings from the Sefat Emet; These Are the Words: A Vocabulary of Jewish Spiritual Life; and Ehyeh: A Kabbalah for Tomorrow. He is also co-editor of Your Word Is Fire: The Hasidic Masters on Contemplative Prayer.
