Howard Timmins, Cape Town for George Allen & Unwin, Ltd, London, 1946. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. signed. Inscribed by Author(s)334 pages (complete). Inscribed on the frontispage by Neil Campbell to Ken Warr (who later became a Commodore and a much respected and known yachtsman) : "For Ken Warr, wishing him fair winds and good sailing through life, this book is signed by its Author . 2nd August 1847." There is another annotation from the author on the frontispage "(Printers' errors corrected by the author)". Again, on the printer information page Campbell has written : "First published 24th September 1946" . The author has also signed by the frontisplate (dated: 2nd August 1947). The cover has wear to the shelving edges and corners. There is wear too to the spine head and foot. The covers are tight, sure, firm and robust. Inside, the contents are tight, assured.
