This novel follows the daring heroine Sheilah Mcleod, and is set across the Australian territories. Guy Boothby (1867-1905) was a prolific Australian writer known for his Dr Nikola series, following an occultist criminal, and Pharos, the Egyptian, a Gothic tale about Egypt and the supernatural. Boothby was a friend of Rudyard Kipling's.Illustrated with a full plate frontispiece. In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart; the spine is a touch cocked, with wear to extremities and bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Ownership inscriptions to the front blanks. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good
