G&D # on tail of DJ is 1056. Edition/printing not stated. Rubber stamp and signature for original post office in Notch Missouri, which was the model for Uncle Ike's Post Office in Harold Bell Wright's novel, The Shepherd of the Hills. Signed by Oscar R. Morrill, Alfred R. Morrill, and Layne Morrill, the son, grandson, and granddaughter of Levi Morrill, the postmaster of Uncle Ike's Post Office. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: Near Fine; light bumping to tail and upper rear tip; slight fading to tinted textblock top. DJ: Good +; NOT Price Clipped ($1.95); shelfwear to head, tail, and tips; light toning to panels. Blue tweed boards and spine with blue lettering on the spine. 348 pp 8vo.
