Description

Ship of Fools is a famous novel by the American journalist, author and essayist Katherine Anne Porter (1990-1980). While Porter is acclaimed for her short stories, Ship of Fools was the best-selling novel in North America in its year of publication, 1962. In 1965, it was made into an Oscar-winning film starring Vivien Leigh, Jose Ferrer, Lee Marvin and Simone Signoret. It is about a group of disparate characters sailing from Mexico to Europe aboard a German passenger ship. The book was published by Little Brown & the Atlantic Monthly Press in 1962. This is a first printing of that issue. It is yellow boards, with black lettering on the cover and spine. The dust jacket is a little battered, just on the spine. But it has done its job and the book is absolutely pristine, with no marks or damage of any kind, inside or out. Note: If you are outside of North America, the quoted shipping price is for surface mail without tracking. For other options, please contact me.
